Brief History

Al Ashraf

Alhumdulillah, Al-Ashraf Primary School has been providing National Curriculum based education in keeping with Islamic morals and ethics to Primary School students since September 2006.

At Al-Ashraf Primary School we strive to maintain close co-operation between the school, parents and the wider community. Partnership with parents continues to be a major theme throughout the school in order for staff to engage with parents for the betterment of the students. The privilege of a low-cost independent Muslim School can only be maintained by a healthy participation of Parents. It was parents that approached our highly respected Principal (Mufti Abdullah Patel) regarding the inception of a Islamic Primary School in order to safeguard their children's futures.

It is a vision of all whom are involved in the school that children should enjoy their school, find satisfaction in their achievement and realise their potential to the full. Our target is to continuously assess and positively reward the effort and progress made by our pupils. We aim to Insha Allah, deliver education in stimulating and challenging ways, setting tasks and goals that are achievable to all. The school endeavours to create tolerant individuals; we all aim to help your child respect and appreciate others, their cultural background, feelings, views and all capabilities in an Islamic perspective.

We have high expectations of our pupils not only in academic excellence but also in standards of behaviour and character, both inside and outside school. We also hope to equip our pupils with skills to confidently accept the challenges of today's changing world. At Al-Ashraf Primary School we aim to create a happy, safe and secure environment where each child is given the opportunity to learn and live with others.

Our school rules are designed to help support our students throughout their time at Al-Ashraf Primary School and beyond.
